Cessna Citation Latitude

Cessna Citation Latitude
Cessna’s answer to the next-generation business-travel environment is here. We endeavored to create the most open, spacious, light, and refined cabin environment in this category of aircraft. When we came close to having it right, we displayed a concept mock-up of that cabin interior at our main service center for months, inviting our customers to scrutinize every detail and offer their feedback. That process led to today’s Citation Latitude: a clean, contemporary luxury environment with 77 inches of width, 6 feet of height, a flat floor, and over 21 feet of cabin length. Then we surrounded that interior with an aircraft built to the same rigorous standards. The result is a world-class business jet with 2,500 nm (4,630 km) of range and a maximum cruising altitude of 45,000 feet (13,106 meters). The Latitude takes up to nine passengers farther in wide and spacious luxury.

Enhanced safety and performance

The M2 is equipped with a fully digital, dual-channel autopilot system (AP) equipped with many features for added safety, redundancy, and reliability. Integrating data from the avionics system, the AP is built to inspire confidence while ensuring optimum smoothness and comfort.
The system is powered by the Garmin GFC 700 scalable architecture and uses prestored airspeed-limit data along with autopilot gains that are scheduled to optimize performance to offer excellent stability and control. The AP maximizes aircraft performance with precise lateral and vertical navigation guidance for all phases of flight. It can maintain attitude, altitude, airspeed, vertical speed, and heading, in addition to flying VNAV descent profiles, automated Takeoff/Go-Around procedures, and more.
The M2’s AP system is simple and straightforward to operate yet sophisticated and state-of-the-art, which makes flying the M2 easier, safer, more consistent, and more enjoyable.

Maintenance diagnostics

The M2’s G3000 avionics system can record specific maintenance diagnostic information. This key data can be reviewed on the MFD while the aircraft is grounded and downloaded for review even when you’re away from the aircraft. This capability integrates directly with the Cessna Service and Support network via the Cessna Aircraft Recording System (AReS).
With this system, the M2 incorporates full-time data storage. The AReS records useful data during the previous 100 flight hours in nonvolatile memory. That data can then be used for advanced troubleshooting and analysis by systems specialists from the Cessna Service and Support network.

Across from the main cabin door on the right side is a side-facing toilet with a removable curtain included for privacy. A net is also provided to secure baggage stored on top of the lid.
Avionics
Uplifting technology for advanced awareness

Avionics that take you Higher

The Mustang’s front office with Garmin G1000 integrated avionics delivers at-a-glance awareness that is comprehensive and intuitive. The three-screen Garmin G1000 avionics suite significantly decreases pilot workload and stress while consolidating all primary flight, navigation, engine, and sensor data onto large, easy-to-scan flat-panel displays. This innovative flight deck is standard on our single engine aircraft as well as all Caravan models, which keeps the learning curve low and the transition smooth for all Cessna pilots.

A pilot’s best friend

The Garmin Flight Management System (FMS) is a robust navigation solution for en-route, terminal, and WAAS precision approach. Pilots are equipped with moving map functions including range and pan, flight planning, and automatic reversion via GPS sensors. The FMS will organize flight plans to be readily accessible and displayed via the moving map. Plain-language identifiers and airport communication and navigation frequency lookup features are also included. Final-approach fixes for both lateral and vertical modes can be displayed and coupled to the automatic flight control system (AFCS). Pilots have the option of overlaying present position references with geopolitical and airspace boundaries on any map format. Precision guidance functionality meets the operational requirements of oceanic/remote, NAT MNPS, RNP10, and RNP5/BRNAV.

Know what’s out there

Clear knowledge of weather conditions ahead of the aircraft is critical to any pilot. The Mustang’s weather-avoidance radar system enhances situational awareness with accurate information to help pilots provide the safest and most comfortable ride for passengers.
The Mustang’s standard avionics suite includes a four-color weather detection sensor with an integrated receiver and transmitter. Powered by the Garmin GWX 68 digital weather-avoidance radar, this technology is controlled through and displayed on the multifunction display. Notable features of the radar include 6,500 watts of nominal transmitter power, a 90-degree scan angle, ±15 degrees tilt, a maximum range of 320 nm, and a minimum range of 2.5 nm.

Detailed Specifications

Performance data is based on the standard Mustang configuration, operating in International Standard Atmosphere (ISA) conditions with zero wind. Takeoff and landing field lengths are based on a level, hard surface and dry runway.
Actual performance will vary with factors such as environmental conditions, aircraft configuration and operational/ATC procedures.

Powerplant

Two dual-channel FADEC-controlled, Pratt & Whitney Canada PW615F-A turbofan engines are installed on the Mustang. The engine is a 2.8:1 bypass ratio, counter-rotating twin-spool design with three compression stages and two turbine stages. It produces 1,460 pounds (6.49 kN) of thrust at sea level, static conditions, flat-rated up to 77°F (25°C). The FADEC system also provides time-limited dispatch, diagnostics, and engine synchronization according to switch position.

  • Manufacturer: Pratt & Whitney
  • Model: (2) PW615F-A
  • Power output: 1,460 lbs
  • Time between overhaul: 3,500 hr
