Gulfstream IV

The Gulfstream IV (or G-IV or GIV) and derivatives are a family of twin-jet aircraft, mainly for private or business use. The aircraft was designed and built by Gulfstream Aerospace, a General Dynamics company based in Savannah, Georgia, United States from 1985 until 2003. Over 535 aircraft of this type have been produced. The first GIV made its maiden flight on September 19, 1985. The model received type certification from the FAA in April 1987. The G-IV entered into service with serial number 1000 in 1987 and was upgraded to the special purpose GIV-SP version at serial number 1214 in 1993. It was later redesignated G400 at serial number 1500. A shorter range variant was created based on the GIV and given the G300 designation in 2002.

Gulfstream III

The Gulfstream G-III is the third generation of a very successful family line of private jets. Gulfstream Aerospace Corp designed the Gulfstream G-III to be similar to the GII (of which more than 250 models were sold), but better. The G-III can fly 4,600 miles (4,000 nautical miles) at a speed of .84 Mach while carrying eight passengers. Alternately, it can fly 4,140 miles (3,600 nautical miles) at the same speed with twice the amount of passengers.
In addition to the much roomier cockpit, pilots should appreciate the new avionics system. A Dual Sperry ED-800 electronic flight instrumentation system coupled with a Sperry Primus 800 multifunctional display and a four-screen EFIS dominate the flight deck. Standard equipment includes three Honeywell laser gyros (which are lighter and more reliable than mechanical gyros), a Sperry SPZ800 flight director system, Global GNS 1000 FMS, a Sperry Primus 800 color weather radar, as well as all necessary communication and situation awareness equipment.
The cabin of the G-III usually holds fourteen to nineteen passengers, but it can be configured to hold up to nineteen in a high-density layout. The cabin has sufficiently spacious dimensions: 41.3 feet long, 6.1 feet high, and 7.3 feet wide, totaling a cabin volume of 1,345 cubic feet. Standard amenities include a full-sized galley with a refrigerator, coffee, maker, and the usual food preparation equipment.

Gulfstream G650ER

Extended Range version, with maximum takeoff weight increased by 4,000 pounds (1,814 kg) and an equivalent increase in fuel capacity; capable of flying 7,500 nautical miles (8,600 mi; 13,900 km) at Mach 0.85. Certified in October 2014. Fuel capacity of the wet wings is increased by a modification to the fuel system, through a service bulletin available as a $2 million retrofit for existing G650 aircraft. List price for new G650ER aircraft is $66.5 million in 2014.

THE GULFSTREAM G650ER- EXTENDING THE REACH, LEADING THE CLASS. Gulfstream’s flagship, the G650ER, extends the nonstop reach of the industry’s highest performance long-range business aircraft to 7,500 nautical miles/13,890 kilometers at Mach 0.85. Flying even faster at Mach 0.90, the G650ER will carry eight passengers 6,400 nautical miles/11,853 kilometers. Both are feats that no other business aircraft in the world can achieve.
The Gulfstream G650ER―establishing a new world standard for performance.

THE G650ER RANGE - CRUISE FARTHER FASTER THAN EVER. The range capability of the Gulfstream G650ER isn’t hypothetical—it’s reality, having already flown and documented key city-pair connections including Hong Kong to New York; and Los Angeles, California, to Melbourne, Australia.
The G650ER boasts a maximum takeoff weight 4,000 pounds/1,814 kilograms greater than the G650, which can be an advantage in adding fuel margin or increasing long-range cruise speed on ultralong-range routes.

THE G650ER FLEXIBILITY - DOING WHAT NO OTHER AIRCRAFT CAN. The additional range capability of the G650ER significantly increases the number of nonstop connections possible between cities. From Dubai, fly nonstop to Atlanta. From Hong Kong, most of the U.S. Eastern Seaboard is now a direct flight. A dozen cities now connect nonstop with Sydney, including Riyadh and Dallas.
In today’s fast-paced international marketplace, the speed and quality of establishing business connections matters. If your mission includes flights half a world away, the G650ER offers the advantage of flying the fastest and longest routes possible by any business aircraft.
With a 103,600 pound/46,992 kilogram maximum takeoff weight, the Gulfstream G650ER provides the mission flexibility to fly longer routes at higher cruise speeds or carry heavier payloads on shorter missions. Cruising at near supersonic speed (0.90 Mach) the G650ER will comfortably carry eight passengers 6,400 nautical miles/11,853 kilometers.

THE G650ER INTERIOR- AN ENVIRONMENT OF STYLE AND COMFORT. A Gulfstream G650ER cabin provides the ultimate blend of form and function. Flexible cabin design and the option to customize offers owners control of their environment―whether it’s the need for a private stateroom, a large conference space or individual work areas.
Wide seats and generous aisle spaces are benefits of the G650ER, and the sense of spaciousness is further enhanced by 16 Gulfstream panoramic windows, the largest in the industry, that stream sunlight into the cabin and galley.

Gulfstream G650ER
The G650ER cabin is replenished with 100 percent fresh air every two minutes. And with the lowest cabin altitude in the class, matched only by its sister ship, the Gulfstream G650, passenger heart and lungs can more easily oxygenate the blood, which reduces fatigue and ensures a more alert and refreshed arrival many time zones later. At a cruise altitude of 45,000 feet/13,716 meters, a G650ER cabin is pressurized to an altitude of 4,060 feet/1,237 meters. That cabin altitude is almost two times lower than commercial airlines and significantly better than any non-Gulfstream aircraft in the large-cabin class.

Gulfstream G650

The Gulfstream G650 is a twin-engine business jet airplane produced by Gulfstream Aerospace. The model is designated Gulfstream GVI in its type certificate,[4] and may be configured to carry from 11 to 18 passengers. Gulfstream began the G650 program in 2005 and revealed it to the public in 2008. The G650 is the company's largest and fastest business jet with a top speed of Mach 0.925.
The aircraft project was named the 2014 winner of the Collier Trophy, for having "strengthened business aviation through significant technological advancements in aircraft performance, cabin comfort, and safety." The G650ER is an extended-range version of the G650.

THE GULFSTREAM G650 - FARTHER FASTER, FIRST OF ITS KIND. The G650 – Speed and grace paired with style and comfort.
Enjoy The World Standard™ at its best.
Innovation and excellence have taken flight in the Gulfstream G650.
Gulfstream engineers partnered with a customer advisory board to envision an aircraft that would set a new standard in business travel. Working from that input, engineers rejected the status quo with a clean-sheet design. They pushed for more performance in every aspect. With the G650’s long, unfettered wing, they redefined how air flows over an aircraft wing, creating a highly efficient airfoil that delivers speed and an incredibly smooth ride.
What Gulfstream delivers in the G650 is a jet that flies at more than 92 percent of the speed of sound for thousands of miles with fly-by-wire precision. That same design innovation created a quieter, roomier, more adaptable cabin teeming with advanced technology.

THE GULFSTREAM G650 RANGE - TIME SAVED IS PRODUCTIVITY GAINED. At a long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85, the Gulfstream G650 flies 7,000 nautical miles/12,964 kilometers nonstop with eight passengers. Los Angeles to London is more than 30 minutes faster and New York to Tokyo almost an hour closer compared to other large-cabin aircraft.
The G650 makes once-distant cities all part of a day’s work, and with the lowest pressurized cabin altitude of any business aircraft, passengers arrive feeling refreshed and ready for whatever opportunities lay ahead.

THE G650 INTERIOR - WIDER AND BRIGHTER. An 8 foot 6 inch/2.59 meter-wide cabin, the largest in its class, helps create an exquisitely comfortable environment for 19 passengers.

Sixteen large Gulfstream panoramic windows, each 28 by 20.5 inches/71 by 52 centimeters, allow abundant sunlight into the cabin, even in the galley. Every window has been repositioned higher on the fuselage to maximize viewing comfort.
Explore the cabin virtually to discover why the Gulfstream G650 is in a class by itself.

CREATURE COMFORTS TAILOR MADE - A longer, wider cabin and flexible cabin design offer more design configurations for meetings, entertaining and relaxing. A convection oven, large ice drawers and fitted storage for flatware and crystal increase dining options. After dinner, relax in a handcrafted leather recliner. Or retreat to a private stateroom. The choice is yours.

CLIMB HIGH, BREATHE EASY - Engineers considered every element while designing the G650, even the air passengers breathe. The G650 has the lowest cabin altitude of any business jet and replenishes 100 percent fresh air every two minutes.
At a cruise altitude of 41,000 feet/12,497 meters, the cabin is pressurized to a comfortable 3,290 ft/1,003 m. That altitude is more than twice as low as commercial airlines and significantly better than any non-Gulfstream aircraft in its class. Lower cabin altitude means the heart and lungs don’t work as hard to oxygenate the blood, which reduces fatigue and ensures that upon arrival, passengers are more refreshed and alert.

And the innovative Gulfstream Symmetry Flight Deck™ features active control sidesticks and touch-screen avionics interfaces, both industry firsts.

THE G600 RANGE - PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION. Gulfstream engineers employed a straightforward design philosophy in the new Gulfstream G600: Combine new wing and airframe advances, new engines and a uniquely shaped cabin to move travelers 6,500 nautical miles/12,038 kilometers at Mach 0.85—faster than any aircraft in its class—without sacrificing fuel economy or comfort.
Consider it accomplished. The G600 has a long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85, the ability to fly an unrivaled 5,100 nautical miles/9,445 kilometers at a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90. Along with the Gulfstream G650ER, Gulfstream G650 and the all-new Gulfstream G500, the G600 shares a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.925.
Why does that matter? Over a typical year, frequent flyers will save more than 50 hours of travel time flying in the G600 versus other aircraft on the market. With a 19-passenger cabin, that amounts to hundreds of hours better dedicated to work or family and friends.
Efficiency is another Gulfstream hallmark. With its advanced wing design and Pratt & Whitney Canada engines, the G600 is as much as 23 percent more efficient than other aircraft in its class. The Pratt & Whitney engines are designed to operate 10,000 hours between overhauls and feature greatly reduced noise levels and emissions. These advances lower operating costs and ensure the aircraft will outperform environmental standards for years to come.

THE G600 COMFORT - LIVE ABOARD IN STYLE. Performance meets comfort in the Gulfstream G600. With a width of 7 feet 11 inches/2.41 meters and a height of 6 feet 4 inches/1.93 meters, the cabin is the optimal size and shape to help produce the aircraft’s best-in-class speed and fuel efficiency. Yet the aircraft is also designed to be as comfortable and functional as passengers’ favorite spaces on the ground.
At 45 feet 2 inches/13.77 meters, the G600 is the longest cabin in its class; it can be configured for up to four living areas, and in this business jet group, only Gulfstream can offer the option of a forward or aft galley. Even a shower is a possibility in the G600.
The uniquely shaped fuselage results in plentiful headroom while passengers move about the cabin. When seated, passengers have space to stretch out and get comfortable in the 27-inch-/68.5-centimeter-wide seats. The divans and seats convert to beds for sleeping. Sturdy, adjustable-height conference tables add comfort and convenience for working and dining.
Gulfstream designers are ready to assist through every facet of the new cabin design process. The process affords more flexibility than ever in configuring the G600 cabin with the perfect blend of up to four living areas to suit the unique desires of any operator. The G600 boasts 10 individual cabin space options designed for working, relaxing, dining or sleeping for a flexible cabin design.

THE G600 CABIN - Owners can reflect their own distinctive style as they select from the finest materials, whether hand-woven rugs or bamboo flooring, a vast array of colors and patterns for upholstery, or fiber-optic lighting in headliners.
On the technology side, high-definition monitors enhance business or entertainment. Satellite communications, internet connectivity options and an onboard printer and scanner allow passengers to stay in touch with colleagues on the ground.
The Gulfstream Cabin Management System gives travelers fingertip control of lighting, shades, temperature and entertainment amenities through touch-screen devices.

DESIGNED FOR TRANQUILITY - Cabin environment also influences the travel experience. The G600 interior is engineered to provide a relaxing journey that leaves travelers refreshed on arrival.
A low cabin altitude—4,850 feet/1,478 meters at the aircraft’s maximum altitude of 51,000 feet/15,545 meters—and 100 percent fresh air replenished every two minutes reduce the effects of jet lag. The cabin is so quiet passengers can converse at normal voice levels even while in flight at near the speed of sound. The G600’s 14 large Gulfstream panoramic windows flood the space with natural light for an increased sense of spaciousness.

THE G600 FLIGHT DECK - IMMERSED IN BREAKTHROUGH TECHNOLOGY. Better Vision. Safer Flight
The G600 comes equipped with the latest generation of Gulfstream’s Enhanced Vision System. The new EVS boosts the resolution of the infrared sensor by 400 percent and expands the camera’s field of view for better imaging in low-visibility conditions. The EVS is linked to a head-up display that projects the EVS view onto a transparent screen in the pilot’s forward field of vision. A Synthetic Vision System produces artificial images of terrain, obstacles, runways and approaches on the primary flight display.
The G600 incorporates the latest refinements in computer-controlled systems. The Intelligence-by-Wire™ flight system provides highly calibrated flight controls, autothrottles and autobrakes to ensure peak engine performance and smoother, safer landings.
The G600's Data Concentration Network infrastructure lines the airframe with technology that significantly reduces cables and parts. The DCN provides greater redundancy and safety as well as easier maintainability.
