Frasca 131 flight simulator

Frasca 131 Flight Training Device (Flight Simulator).  Our Frasca 131 is FAA approved for Instrument Flight Training, Instrument Currency Training and even can be used for a portion of the Instrument Checkride. This Frasca can be utilized to simulate a singe engine fixed gear aircraft, single engine retractable gear aircraft.

Frasca 141 Flight Simulator

The Aviation Center currently has two FRASCA 141's. These single-seat AATD's simulate the flight deck environment of the Piper Warrior and Piper Arrow. A widescreen TV in front of the windshield realistically displays a wide variety of environmental parameters; day/night, rain, thunderstorms, low ceilings, etc. The Aviation Center uses this AATD throughout multiple phases of training including the Private, Instrument, Single-Engine Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor courses. The FRASCA 141 can aid in introducing the student to a complex aircraft with flaps, retractable landing gear, and constant speed propeller. The avionics also duplicate the avionics of the actual aircraft, including a Garmin 430 GPS navigator. The instructor can simulate a wide variety of situations ranging from rapidly changing weather to system malfunctions allowing the student to get up to speed on instrument procedures before getting into the actual aircraft.

Frasca International, Inc., is an American manufacturer of flight simulation training devices, with over 3000 training devices delivered in approximately 70 countries throughout the world. Now based in Urbana, Illinois, Frasca International was founded in Champaign, Illinois in 1958 by Rudy Frasca. Frasca flight simulators are used in all segments of the aviation industry, including their extensive use in many prominent college aviation programs, including Purdue University, Indiana State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, University of North Dakota, Louisiana Tech University, University of Illinois, and Western Michigan University.

 Highlights

THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR WORKPLACE
The IOS - designed for pleasant and efficient work environment for instructors
The FSTD is equipped with an IOS cabin including two 19” touch screen monitors and a laser printer. The IOS cabin is enclosed on all sides with a sliding door at the rear end. It includes a desk and book shelves at the right (standard) or left side and dimmable ceiling lights.
A highly recommended option is the flight instructor workstation (FIWS) which is a small desk just behind the crew seats. It allows the instructor to operate from a position directly behind the pilots while having a good view into the cockpit and full control over the simulation. The FIWS is equipped with two touch screen monitors on swivel arms and a retractable keyboard.

IOS Software
The comprehensive IOS software provides the flight instructor the same capabilities as he normally would find in a full flight simulator - no more small icons, no more small buttons to click on with the mouse, but a self- explanatory touch screen system with logical system pages that can be operated intuitively.

VISUAL SYSTEM
Image Generator
The Diamond FSTD comes with the GLOBAL CANVAS image generator (IG). The worldwide resolution of the satellite pictures is 15m per pixel. The image generator can render terrain textures with a resolution of up to 5cm per pixel.
The IG features two-cloud-levels and realistic cumulus clouds. It also includes weather phenomena, such as wind (movement of windsocks), rain, snowfall, and lightning. The standard database includes worldwide satellite image coverage (15m resolution) and worldwide generic representation of airports with “hard” runways.
The image generator contains generic models of all airports with published IFR approaches (Jeppesen ARINC 424 database). Custom airport models can be created on request.
Display
The following display solutions are available:
Cylindrical Screen 200°x35°
Spherical Screen 220°x45°

The Global Technical Services Department (GTS) helps FSTD operators to navigate the wide range of customer services that the Business Unit Simulation of Diamond Aircraft Industries has designed for you.
The GTS department bases its foundations on the long-lasting experience of DAI in the General Aviation Market. The GTS Team and GTS Contact Centre are located in the Diamond Terminal in Egelsbach (EDFE), Germany a short drive from Frankfurt International Airport.
For technical support please contact gts@diamond-air.at or visit our Diamond Simulation Support Portal: http://simulation-support.diamond-air.at

OUR RANGE OF SERVICES:
FACTORY ACCEPTANCE TEST
When the hardware is assembled and the software is installed Diamond Aircraft will thoroughly test all components of the FSTD. After the internal test DAI invites the customer for the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) which will be performed at the DAI Factory in Austria.
DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION
After customer acceptance the FSTD will be prepared and packed in special crates for safe shipment. With the installation and delivery service the device will be sent to the final destination. The GTS Team will travel to the customer’s premises and install the device in the simulator room which has been prepared by the customer according to DAI’s documentation (Annex 2).
RELOCATION
Disassembly, transportation and installation at new location. Full maintenance check and recurrent QTG check as well as support for requalification after relocation with the national aviation authority.
MAINTENANCE TRAINING
Minimize your downtime with our maintenance training. We help you in the formation of your simulator engineers. With modern and effective teaching methods as well as a valid simulator maintenance manual designed as an aircraft manual your personnel will be able to operate the system in normal operation and troubleshoot the most common failure mode with the BASIC TRAINING and fix the least predictable with the ADVANCED TRAINING.
FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR TRAINING
We train you to set up your training session, selecting malfunctions, set the weather and all the rest. With our immediate trouble shooting training no session will be interrupted!
QTG TRAINING
To run the automatic QTG it’s easy but could you perform all test manually? With our QTG training we provide the skills to run, evaluate and present the QTG recurrent check to the National Aviation Authority.

Elite Simulation Solutions FJ2000 Simulator

Also known as the ‘FatJet’, the FJ2000 is a fixed-base, open-cockpit trainer modeled on a narrow-body jet airliner. It is designed to be used in a classroom environment as a systems and procedures trainer.
With a small footprint and low upfront investment, the FJ2000 is a complete alternative to an FPT (Flat Panel Trainer) or IPT (Integrated Procedures Trainer) which typically uses touch-screens instead of ‘tactile’ panels to save cost. The FJ2000 offers the same level of certification and training applications as an FPT or IPT, but with fully tactile panels, switches and levers – and equivalent in price (if not cheaper).
The device also includes the option for integrated systems schematics software to display active diagrams for the major aircraft systems on touch-screen monitors.

Based on a narrow-body jet airliner with conventional flight controls (yokes). This is ideal for airlines with B737NG fleets.

Based on a fly-by-wire narrow-body jet airliner with side stick flight controls. This is ideal for airlines with A320 fleets.
