Lockheed Martin’s LM-100J

LM-100J -  Lockheed Martin’s LM-100J (Model 382J) is a derivative of a C-130J-30 Super Hercules, which is currently the airlifter of choice with 16 nations throughout the world. Through select design changes, the LM-100J will perform as a civil multi-purpose air freighter capable of rapid and efficient transport of cargo. The first LM-100J is in production.

Ready to Carry Whatever the Future Holds  - Through select design changes, the LM-100J performs as a civil multi-purpose air freighter capable of rapid and efficient transport of cargo. The LM-100J is an efficient and ideal airlift solution when delivering bulk and oversize cargo particularly to austere locations worldwide. The LM-100J incorporates technological developments and improvements over the existing L-100s at a competitive price that results from years of C-130J operational experience, including more than 1.2 million fleetwide flight hours. The result of this experience and advancement translates to an aircraft that delivers reliable service in a versatile airframe for decades to come.
The first LM-100J is in production as of April 2016, reaching major production assembly milestones at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics sites in Marietta, Georgia; Meridian, Mississippi; and Clarksburg, West Virginia. Wing production has begun in Marietta, which is home to the C-130J Super Hercules final assembly line. Other structural parts are in production at Lockheed Martin Meridian and Clarksburg facilities.

First Look, First LM-100J - At the beginning of 2017, Lockheed Martin unveiled the newest member of the C-130J Super Hercules family: the LM-100J commercial freighter. This series follows pivotal production milestones of the first LM-100J.

Unmatched Versatility On A Proven Platform - The LM-100J's versatile airframe enables it to support a variety of tasks. Multiple roll-on/roll-off configurations are available to expand the ariplane's capabilities. Typical roles include:
- Oversized cargo transport
- Oil dispersion/aerial spray
- Oil and gas exploration
- Mining logistics operations
- Aerial fire fighting
- Aerial delivery
- Medevac/air ambulance
- Humanitarian relief operations
- VIP and personnel transport
- Austere field operations
- Search and rescue

LM-100J: A Legend Reimagined - As it is based on the operational C-130J, the civil variant LM-100J can operate from short, unprepared airfields without ground support equipment. It requires minimal material handling equipment and enables rapid onload and offload at truck-bed height. Growth provisions built into the LM-100J will enable it to support a variety of future missions including aerial spray, aerial firefighting and delivery, medevac/air ambulance, humanitarian aid and VIP transport.
More than 100 L-100s, which were the commercial variant of the first generation C-130, were produced from 1964-1992 at the then Lockheed-Georgia Co., Marietta, Georgia., facility. Many of those airlifters are still operated worldwide by commercial and government customers. It's been said that, "only a Herc can replace a Herc." The LM-100J stands ready for any job at hand.

Lockheed C-5 Galaxy

Lockheed C-130 Hercules

The Lockheed C-130 Hercules is a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft designed and built originally by Lockheed, now Lockheed Martin. Capable of using unprepared runways for takeoffs and landings, the C-130 was originally designed as a troop, medical evacuation, and cargo transport aircraft. The versatile airframe has found uses in a variety of other roles, including as a gunship (AC-130), for airborne assault, search and rescue, scientific research support, weather reconnaissance, aerial refueling, maritime patrol, and aerial firefighting. It is now the main tactical airlifter for many military forces worldwide. Over 40 models and variants of the Hercules serve with more than 60 nations. The C-130 entered service with U.S. in the 1950s, followed by Australia and others. During its years of service, the Hercules family has participated in countless military, civilian and humanitarian aid operations. The family has the longest continuous production run of any military aircraft in history. In 2007, the C-130 became the fifth aircraft—after the English Electric Canberra, Boeing B-52 Stratofortress, Tupolev Tu-95, and Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker—to mark 50 years of continuous use with its original primary customer, in this case, the United States Air Force. The C-130 is also the only military aircraft to remain in continuous production for 50 years with its original customer, as the updated C-130J Super Hercules.
